Which wax puck to use for Pressable Ceramics? | Use Wax Press or Wax Press Esthetic |
Which investment material(s) do you recommend for your millable/castable wax? | Any high-strength investment will do (i.e. Microstar, Galaxy II, Ivoclar Press Vest Premium, Formula 1 (whip mix). In addition, these waxes have special rigidity for optimized machinability, so we recommend a two-stage burnout. |
Two-stage Burnout Protocol | First of all, we highly recommend using a high-strength investment like the ones we’ve listed above simply because the particle size is smaller thus giving us a smoother and stronger situation to start.

Regarding the Wax Press and Wax Purity milling discs: Do you find if a different investment ratio is needed to get the best fit? | Most don’t have to change the ratio but we know that investment expansion has more to do with the ratio of special liquid/water than the material being burnt out so maybe adjust: a little more water and less special liquid. It will tighten things up. |
